Art Direction With Flair

I'm always on the look out for cool fashion art direction.

Here Flair Magazine have made a typical jewellery editorial shoot shine. Most shoots like this generally use a simple white backdrop or a posing model left draped in layers of sparkle, which can get a tad boring and expected. To break these boundaries, Flair decided to choose unusual jewelry instead of the typical designer statement pieces and alongside some amazing photography, art direction like this really catches your attention when your flicking through your fashion glosssy!

The model and the jewellery pieces seem to metamorphosis into each other, but photographer Alix Malka has still been able to perfectly capture close ups and draw attention to the pieces.  It almost seems a shame that this shoot will only live on the pages of Flair, I could see it being using for branding in the music industry.
